Fiberarts promotes contemporary fiber art by profiling the work and creative processes of established and emerging artists, documenting trends, and addressing critical issues related to the professional development of the field. Fiber art includes weaving, surface design, quilting, stitchery, papermaking, basketry, wearable art, felting, and fiber sculpture. The magazine covers traditional textile techniques as practiced in emerging countries or as displayed in galleries/museums. Welcomes new writers on short (450-500 word) articles for the first couple of assignments. Circ. 28K. 5 issues/year. Pays on publication. Publishes ms 5 - 6 months after acceptance.
