Current Needs: We are looking for more educational pieces, how to, etc. What we don't need are comedy reviews or items that are very limited. Pays flat fee of $25 for articles up to 600 words and $50 for interviews with people in the comedy field. Interviews must be in Q&A format. Don't worry too much about going over the word count. If we really like the article, we'll make it a 2-parter. Writers can submit their ideas or a complete ms by email or mail.

Hints: We are more educational than entertainment. We receive a lot of reviews of comics' acts that work if they are written from a student's point of view. Critiques of current comedians, TV shows or movies don't really apply to us. Feature writers should consider book reviews. And remember our audience. Our readers are people who want to pursue comedy as a career.
