Hints: The most common mistake is thinking that homeschooling is simply school done at home. The kind of homeschooling we advocate is a much deeper and richer experience for children, parents, and families. Please don't assume we're looking for how-to-teach articles; we're more interested in how to help your children figure out what's meaningful and important and worth doing in their lives - and in the lives of the parents. Home Education Magazine is an award-winning magazine because we care deeply about what runs on every page of every issue. My best advice to new writers is to write as if you were simply talking with a good friend, explaining ideas and sharing enthusiasms and telling your favorite stories. Writing is no real mystery - it's just another way of communicating with other people. If you have experience with homeschooling and are interested in sharing that experience with others, jot down your ideas and send them to us; we have an outstanding articles editor who has worked with hundreds of new writers to polish their writing into something they're proud to see in print - and we're proud to send our readers.
