Current Needs: What we need are insightful articles about sawmills and what the owner/manager is doing to stay current technologically and remain profitable in tough times. Stories must feature the equipment used in the mill and info on production, etc. Submit query, cover letter, resume/bio by mail with SASE.

Hints: Trade publications should be easy markets for writers but writers shy away from topics that must seem boring or threatening. Any competent general assignment reporter ought to be able to write for a trade publication such as ours.
