HINTS: "It is a common error to pay insufficient attention to our submissions guidelines: we do not accept submissions via email. In addition, it should be noted that our editorial process is slow and it may take up to 12 months to receive a response from us. In addition, manuscripts and cover letters should be thoroughly checked for errors in spelling, grammar and syntax. It is advisable to read through our website thoroughly before contacting us with queries, as the responses to many of these can be found in its content. It is also advisable to be patient when waiting to hear back from us about the status of submissions as we receive more than 1500 submissions a year and aim to give all this work the attention it deserves. We aim to contact all writers as soon as possible after the editorial decisions have been made as we appreciate that it can be frustrating to experience long delays! We are currently looking for work for our upcoming themed issues Ghosts and the Uncanny and Sicily and we are always accepting general, un-themed submissions."
