I also would like to broaden my outreach by trying to get my book to Oprah. Is that a good idea? How would I go about doing this?

You can bet thousands of authors and publishers are pitching their books to Oprah each year. Your chances of being named an Oprah pick are probably slimmer than winning the lottery.

It's easier to get on Oprah as a guest (and to then pitch your book) than it is to have your book named as one of her picks. To see her list of upcoming shows that need guests, click here:
