The WritersWeekly Drinking Game!
- drink one shot if a publisher says she is shocked -- SHOCKED -- that anyone could ever accuse them of nonpayment
- drink one shot if a publisher denies that she ever got an invoice
- drink one shot if a publisher says she got the invoice, but the invoice was incorrect
- drink one shot if a publisher says it's someone else's fault that writers weren't paid
- drink TWO shots if publisher insists the check is in the mail (or must have been lost via the mail/USPS/FedEx/UPS)
- drink another two shots if check to writer bounces or is otherwise invalid
- drink one shot if publisher says she didn't pay the writer because the story sucked (even though it was published)
- drink one shot if publisher says that allegations of nonpayment are libelous
- drink TWO shots if publisher misuses libel for slander or vice versa
- drink one shot if publisher says her lawyer will be calling you shortly
- drink a shot for every typo in a publisher's correspondence
- Got paid? Check went through? Buy a round for your friends!
