February 13, 2008 Letters To The Editor For February 13th The Way All Publishers Should Do Business Hi Angela, I simply had to email to tell you what a pleasure it is doing business with WritersWeekly. Firstly, I was paid for my contribution on acceptance, something increasingly rare in today's writing world (the cheque was banked and spent before the story appeared). Secondly, the link to my website at the end of the article was broken, so I emailed to tell you. Five minutes later it had been fixed! Five minutes! If only all editors had your professional approach a writer's lot would be a much happier one. Kind regards,
Hi Angela, I just wanted to add something to your comment about e-book encrypting. I had some concerns about this as well and a very successful marketer explained she doesn't mind †much if someone gets a copy of one of her digital products through sharing. She knows they're loaded up with links and that the content is of such quality that they'll likely seek out her site for more information/products. I'm also going post about your new excerpt site at my Publishing Answers blog in the near future. I don't write fiction myself, but I know many people do and as you said, many promotional opportunities leave them out. Great idea. Keep up the good work. Cheryl Pickett
