CURRENT NEEDS: "We want top-notch stories, poetry and essays. But, we are always looking for spiffy articles on how writers manage the business of writing or new opportunities in the digital era." Pays $10-$20; does not pay for poetry but hosts a poetry contest with end of year award of $30 paid to the winner. Articles run 800-4000 words. "It's best to send the complete manuscript with a cover letter/bio at the top with contact information in the body of an e-mail. We do get manuscripts through the mails but it's not recommended to do so."

HINTS: "Common mistakes -They don't read the publication. They send sexually explicit material. They send manuscripts by attachment. There are a lot of mistakes in the body of the text. Advice - It's a difficult venue to get into. We get a lot of quality manuscripts from around the world and work with a limited time/money framework. So, I always recommend writers to submit more material even if they get a rejection from C/Oasis."
