Materials should be interesting, informative and/or entertaining and have some relevance to fitness and physique (bodybuilding, fitness, figure, nutrition, weightlifting, dieting, etc.) Contributors agree to grant F&P permission to use materials submitted, in whole or in part, in the publication without claim for compensation. It is the responsibility of the contributor to assure photographer/illustrator permission is obtained for any images submitted. Materials received are assumed to have consent from all parties relating to submitted materials. Any disputes about materials printed by parties claiming ownership should be taken up with the contributor who submitted said materials.

Payment for short stories and articles that appear in publication is generally per word (usually $0.10/word for articles and $0.03/word for fiction). "Word count is generally 3,000-7,500 for short stories, 50,000-75,000 for novellas and over 100,000 for novels." Submit electronically only per their guidelines.
HINTS: "Common mistakes writers make when submitting could probably fill a book! Editors can usually tell immediately the better authors before they even read the submission, just from way the submission is presented. The worst thing authors can do is ignore the guidelines, sending incorrect formats or making similar mistakes. Cover letters should be included to summarize the story, and include any information about the author that is relevant, such as previously published material. Our reviewers see many submissions with poorly worded cover letters, or with grammatical errors and misspellings. Of course, a perfectly created submission package only goes so far; the submission itself must be worthy of publication. Writers should avoid clichÈs in sex writing, and our editors are NOT looking for 'Penthouse Letters' type of material. New authors should not feel discouraged or intimidated - we are actively looking for the BEST material, regardless of source. Lastly, authors should be aware that the best selling factor in any book is the promotion efforts of the author. Authors who won't do interviews or have a website to promote their works will not sell as well as those who do.
