September 09, 2009 Publisher's Desk For September 9th WE NEED YOUR HELP Our sister company, BookLocker, has a negative rating on a service called Web Of Trust (WOT). Accessed as a plugin for the FireFox web browser, WOT is supposed to warn people about malicious sites. When people who have this plugin installed come to BookLocker.com, they get a big warning message. We have no clue as to how or why BookLocker has a negative rating. The service (which is based out of Finland) say their algorithm is a complex calculation from various sources. But there are only two negative reviews we can see - one referencing a supposed spam list Booklocker.com is on, and one calling us an Adult site. Both of which are not true. At any rate, if you are a member of this service and have used BookLocker, we'd really appreciate you going in and ranking us according to your experience in dealing with us (which we hope has been positive). Also, there is a comment on our ratings page by by someone named PHUNG claiming we are spammers. If you click the disagree button on the right, that will help negate the comment. The service is here: Thanks! ONLY 10 DAYS AWAY! ALREADY 59% FULL!! The WritersWeekly.com Fall 2009 24-Hour Short Story Contest is only 10 days away!
