| HOW THE WRITERSWEEKLY UNIVERSITY CLASSES WORK:
When you sign up, your email receipt will contain the date when your class begins. On the Friday before the class begins, you will get an orientation email with more information. A new lecture and assignment is sent to all students every Monday during the run of the class. Students participate at their leisure, anytime that week, via email. We know how busy everybody is, which is why we don't make everybody come to a certain webpage at a certain time on that day. All students correspond directly with the instructor during the course of the class. But, you can always email wwu-support - at - writersweekly.com if you're having any difficulties. |

About The Class: There are currently 31 million teenagers in the United States with $150 million in buying power. This translates into hundreds of publications (print and online) that are looking for content of interest to these readers and consumers. Whether you're a professional writer or a part-time freelancer, your areas of writing expertise can find a new life by targeting teens and tweens (children ages 7-12). Any travel writers out there? How about a piece on how to choose the perfect summer camp? How about any relationship columnists? You could easily cover a story on surviving your first romantic teen relationship. Are you a financial writer? Learn how to develop a pitch and market an article on negotiating an allowance raise with parents. Let Victoria Groves introduce you to this huge market, and show you how to break in with ease. Her lessons and assignments are not only easy to understand and complete, but they're fun, too! Victoria will also give you the solid foundation necessary to query editors in this vast market with authority and confidence. Cash in on Teens and Tweens is a six-week course that covers finding markets, writing effective queries, mastering today's teen slang, tone development, rewriting and reselling articles, and more, including how to create focus groups to research new ideas and articles! Each lecture is followed by a short writing or marketing assignment. You will receive individual feedback on your assignments from the instructor via email as well as feedback from your fellow students throughout the course. Have fun writing for kids while cashing on this lucrative industry! About Victoria Groves Victoria Groves is a professional editor living in the Boston area.
